PROJECT

WHITEMAN PARK TRAIN STATION

Completed in 2024, Whiteman Park Station is one of five brand-new stations on the 21-kilometre Morley-Ellenbrook Line, providing convenient access to nearby residential areas and popular tourist attractions, including Caversham Wildlife Park and several transport-related museums.

To ensure long-lasting durability and strength, KILN DRIED WHITE SAND from Bautek Pavement Products’ unbound paving system was applied across all paving precincts and car park areas.

The station’s architectural design seamlessly aligns with the aesthetic of other stations along the line, while the car park’s footprint was thoughtfully planned to minimise tree removal. In addition to the rail station, the facility includes a 10-stand bus interchange, a 900-bay car park, and a tram platform connecting the heritage tramway to Whiteman Park.

Whiteman Park Station also stands out as the site of Western Australia’s first 50kVA hybrid solar battery, powering the station sustainably. This cutting-edge system utilises solar panels and battery storage, eliminating the need for a diesel generator and saving an estimated 45,000 litres of diesel annually - the equivalent of removing 42 cars from the road each year.

As the largest public transport project in Perth since 2006, the Morley-Ellenbrook Line delivers affordable and efficient transport options to the tens of thousands of residents in the north-east corridor.
