PROJECT

OGILVIE ROAD STREETSCAPE, MOUNT PLEASANT

The Ogilvie Streetscape Upgrade in Mount Pleasant was designed to create a more welcoming, functional, and visually cohesive public space for the community. The scope of works included new surface treatments, expanded softscape areas, and the installation of contemporary street furniture. Bespoke concrete and masonry planters with integrated seating were also introduced, enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and everyday usability of the precinct.

Granite cobblestone sets supplied by Pavement Innovations were used to achieve a striking four stone blend for the turnaround circle, featuring Stone Merchants Black Swan, Coastal Grey, Coastal White, and Lancelin. The cobbles were laid in a random arrangement, with architect designed wave banding incorporated to create contrast and enhance the visual character of the space.

All paved areas were constructed using the Bautek Bound system, comprised of BOND, BED, and GROUT to meet the high-performance requirements of this streetscape. The project also utilised Bautek’s JOINTSET from the Unbound products range to ensure long term durability and structural integrity.
